Furano Ski Area
Furano is one of the fastest growing towns in central Hokkaido and as word gets out about how amazing this town is and the quality of on piste and backcountry powder is this will continue to grow. Furano ski area offers some of the best tree runs in Hokkaido and has many access points to head off Piste to amazing stashes of that lucrative Japow. With an average of 9m annual snowfall and express lifts with little to no crowds these condition lead to all day runs on the 3.5km runs. Once the day is over and the legs are burning we head into town to experance the authentic Japanese night life full of bars and restaurants and with local knowledge we guarantee this to be a good time.
Tomamu
This place embodies everything good about Japanese ski resorts and leave you wanting to come back again and again. At 1239m Tomamu offers some of the best lift access powder riding in the world cattering to abilities and all disiplines, with everything to offer from park riding, off piste lines and amazing backcountry and with 11 lifts the options are endless. This place is truely special and a favourite with so many people including us.
Asahidake
Ever skied or snowboarded an active volcano? Here is your chance. Asahidake is one of the best touring locations of Hokkaido with a ropeway taking you above the tree line and to a height of 1600m and with a summit of 2290m it is the highest in Hokkaido. Once off the ropeway and with a short hike to the summit and along the ridges this mountian offers epically deep powder with amazing chutes, apline bowls and pillows. Once at the bottom all roads lead back to the ropeway. Being an active volcano the availability of onsens in the area is vast and a must after a big day off riding!
Pippu
A quiet mountain and a good option when the storms are coming in. With a good pitch and plenty of trees this is a great option when everywhere else is low vis or windy as the trees offer the protection neccesary to have a good day and youll also have all off piste to yourself.
Kamui Ski Links
Kamui is a small ski resort set on its own with 7 lifts, the crowds here are non existent so it feels as tho you have your own private ski resort. With one of japans most relaxed ski policies those crusiers, powder filled tree runs and gullies its all an option here you can see a run you can do it this is a place to let your mind run wild.
Tokachi Sahoro Resort
Sahoro is a well protected mountain and great for when the weather rolls in, with the newly expanded terrain it is a great place to spend the day while most places are un ridable. With a short boot pack hike to mount Sahoro this place has everything for everybody.
