This is our longest tour we offer but by far the best, We spend 11 days in the backcountry of central Hokkaido touring different resorts and mountains chasing the freshest powder for the best turns of your life. We can guarantee this is an experience of a lifetime and you will make friends and memories you will never forget.

This is a fully guided multi day tour, what does this mean?

Not only will you have an amazing guide on the slopes but off the slopes aswell. Your guides have an extensive knoledge of not just the resorts but anything Furano they can help. Our guides can help with anything from where to eat, where to go shopping and where is the best place for drink.

Why is local knowledge important?

Our guides can show you places that only someone with knowledge of the area know about. This means you will be taken to places very few other people will get to ride and get the deepest freshest snow that every mountain has to offer and we utalize this to our full advantage.

Itinerary

Day One:

On the first day we pick you up from Sapporo airport and transfer you to Furano, Check into the accomodation and sort out any rental gear that needs to be sorted, we also head to a supermarket to grab snacks and thing for lunches for the following day.

We give you time to settle and shower before we head out to dinner supplied as part of the tour, this is to get to know one another and for you to meet your guide for the trip.

This is also an opportunity for us all to run over the tour ahead and for us to answer any questions you might have.

Day Two, Three, Four And Five:

On these three days we have breakfast at the accomodation before heading off to get ready for the day ahead, before we leave the accomodation we run threw a saftey breifing and issue any avalache gear required.

For the first day we will be staying local in Furano to see how we work as a team and so everyone can find their feet.

The following two days we decide in the morning where will be the best location for the day depending on snow fall and avalanche risk then head to the location for the day, this will be an amazing introduction into what Hokkaido has to offer.

Day Six:

This is the day we do activities off the snow and work as a group to decide what we do on this day we have alot of available things to choose from includong onsen hot pools, Ice fishing and depending on the time of year the Sapporo Ice Festival is a must see.

If you dont want the day off riding there is an option where you can pay for an extra days touring or head off on your own to the mountain.

Days Seven, Eight, Nine And Ten:

These are the days we really step up the excitement and push Deeper, Furthur and Beyond for the full Central Powder Tours experience. With everyone finding their groove on the first couple days we use these last few days to really push everyone beyond their comfort zone to make this an experience that lasts a life time.

On the eighth night we go for a dinner supplied by us at Central Powder Tours to say a massive thank you for choosing us.

Day Eleven:

This is your final day with us, we sit down for our final breakfast with your guide and a full debrief. Its then time to check out and part ways with every one you meet with life long memories of your time with Central Powder Tours.

We will also offer transfers back to Sapporo for those that need it.

9:00am to 4:00pm - All day Ski/Snowboard guiding

Resorts and Mountains

Furano Ski Area

Furano is one of the fastest growing towns in central Hokkaido and as word gets out about how amazing this town is and the quality of on piste and backcountry powder is this will continue to grow. Furano ski area offers some of the best tree runs in Hokkaido and has many access points to head off Piste to amazing stashes of that lucrative Japow. With an average of 9m annual snowfall and express lifts with little to no crowds these condition lead to all day runs on the 3.5km runs. Once the day is over and the legs are burning we head into town to experance the authentic Japanese night life full of bars and restaurants and with local knowledge we guarantee this to be a good time.

Tomamu

This place embodies everything good about Japanese ski resorts and leave you wanting to come back again and again. At 1239m Tomamu offers some of the best lift access powder riding in the world cattering to abilities and all disiplines, with everything to offer from park riding, off piste lines and amazing backcountry and with 11 lifts the options are endless. This place is truely special and a favourite with so many people including us.

Asahidake

Ever skied or snowboarded an active volcano? Here is your chance. Asahidake is one of the best touring locations of Hokkaido with a ropeway taking you above the tree line and to a height of 1600m and with a summit of 2290m it is the highest in Hokkaido. Once off the ropeway and with a short hike to the summit and along the ridges this mountian offers epically deep powder with amazing chutes, apline bowls and pillows. Once at the bottom all roads lead back to the ropeway. Being an active volcano the availability of onsens in the area is vast and a must after a big day off riding!

Pippu

A quiet mountain and a good option when the storms are coming in. With a good pitch and plenty of trees this is a great option when everywhere else is low vis or windy as the trees offer the protection neccesary to have a good day and youll also have all off piste to yourself.

Kamui Ski Links

Kamui is a small ski resort set on its own with 7 lifts, the crowds here are non existent so it feels as tho you have your own private ski resort. With one of japans most relaxed ski policies those crusiers, powder filled tree runs and gullies its all an option here you can see a run you can do it this is a place to let your mind run wild.

Tokachi Sahoro Resort

Sahoro is a well protected mountain and great for when the weather rolls in, with the newly expanded terrain it is a great place to spend the day while most places are un ridable. With a short boot pack hike to mount Sahoro this place has everything for everybody.
